Listening To Your Business
Are you hearing voices? It might be your business trying to get your attention!
The Northeastern Vermont Development Association is presenting a seminar for businesspeople entitled, “Listening to Your Business,” Thursday, September 16, 2010, from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm at NVDA’s offices at 36 Eastern Avenue in St. Johnsbury, Vermont. Led by Ross Hart, Vermont Small Business Development Center Advisor, the workshop will help you evaluate and measure your personal as well as business strategies.
Businesses in the St. Johnsbury designated downtown district as well as members of the St. Johnsbury Chamber of Commerce may attend the seminar for free, thanks to sponsorship by the TD Charitable Foundation. The cost for all others attending will be $125.
This workshop has been designed specifically for entrepreneurs. Hart suggests that owners, managers, and key employees in a business will best be able to use the information he presents. Through hands-on activities and discussions, the workshop will guide the participants to answer the question, "What do I really want from my business and how do I get it?"
Katrina Meigs, Executive Director of the St. Johnsbury Chamber of Commerce, recommends the seminar for businesspeople who need a mental boost in today’s tough economy. “It’s important, from time to time, to step back and evaluate where your business is going,” says Meigs. “This seminar will inspire business owners and leaders to create a plan to move them solidly into the future.”
In the words of Jack Welch, former CEO of General Electric: "If you don't take charge of your business, somebody else will!"
