Estabrook House Open for Business!

Maurine Hennings has owned the Estabrook House at 1596 Main Street for ten years, and has enjoyed it as a private weekend and vacation home while she lovingly restored the magnificent Victorian Queen Anne-style home. She has left her Boston financial consulting profession behind and is in St. Johnsbury to stay. “I’ve had 35 people here for Thanksgiving, not to mention my daughter’s wedding at the house,” she says. “Bed and breakfast guests will be easy after all the company we’ve had here over the years.”

The house was built in 1896 for Warren Estabrook, a Estabrook House wealthy commercial landowner who also owned all the land from Main Street behind his home down to Railroad Street.
