The mission of the chamber is to stimulate and promote the vitality of Downtown St. Johnsbury's commercial, cultural and community resources.

There are three working committees chaired by members of the Chamber board: Design, Promotion, and Economic Restructuring. Each committee has a set of programs or projects that trustees and volunteers focus on each year.

Each committee operates with adhoc committees taking the point for a particular project or set of tasks.

Each committee member works to gather additional volunteers who may join in for one day or one hour or a specialty - whichever works best for the individual.

As a volunteer you help bring excitement and fun into the town. We are sure there is a task, project, or program that is just right to take advantage of your many talents. You can volunteer as a board member, as a committee member, as a project coordinator or, for a particular task - we always need help with something. No matter what you decide to help with your time will be greatly appreciated. Check the chamber volunteer opportunties that are posted online.

Along with our many sponsors, volunteers are the Chamber and the Downtown Organization.

Board trustees manage the many program and projects of the organization. This job requires dedicated time year round and lots more when we are in full swing on an event. With up to 13 board members, each serving 3 years, the need for diversity is ever present. Come join us for a lot of fun and reward as we see the town grow each year.

Four committees keep the wheels turning: Organization, Promotion, Design, and Economic Restructuring. While the Organization committee is reserved for Trustees, Promotion, Design, and Economic Restructuring are run and chaired by a board member while volunteers from all walks of life take point or support a program or project.
